Why paper timesheets cost more than you think
Most small and mid-size contractors still track hours on paper, in a group text, or in a spreadsheet someone fills in at the end of the week. That means hours are written down from memory, re-keyed into payroll by hand, and argued about when the numbers don't line up. It also means you have no idea who is actually on site until someone picks up the phone.
CoManager replaces that with a clock that runs itself.
How geofenced clock-in works
- Draw a radius around the site. When you create a project, set its address and a geofence radius. It takes a few seconds and you only do it once per job.
- The crew arrives. When a worker's phone enters the geofence, CoManager clocks them in on that project. No badge to tap and no app to remember to open.
- The crew leaves. When they leave the site, they're clocked back out automatically.
- You see it live. The team schedule shows who is on site, who is on time, and who is running late.
Every clock-in is tied to the place it happened. Because time is recorded when a phone crosses the site boundary, you don't get "I swear I punched in" disputes or hours logged from the coffee shop.
Schedule vs. actual, for every shift
Set the shift once and CoManager compares it to real arrival times. On time, late, or not there at all is visible on one screen, for every crew member on every active job.
Timesheets that are ready for payroll
- Hours by crew, by day, by job. Company-wide reports roll up time across every active project.
- CSV export. Send hours straight to your bookkeeper or payroll tool instead of retyping them.
- Labour on the budget. Time lands on the project it was worked on, so job costs reflect real hours.
Built for crews who don't want another app
Field adoption is where most construction software fails. CoManager has a Simple Mode that trims the app down to Clock, Tasks, Chat and Files for anyone who just needs the basics. Workers don't have to learn the office side of the app at all.
More than a time clock
Time tracking is one part of CoManager. The same app runs your schedule and Gantt chart, budgets, change orders, daily logs and crew chat, and gives your customers a client portal so they stop calling for updates.
Frequently asked questions
Do workers have to open the app to clock in?
No. Once a worker has the app installed and location permission turned on, CoManager clocks them in when they enter the job site's geofence and out when they leave.
Can I set a different radius for each job site?
Yes. The geofence is set per project, so a small residential lot and a large commercial site can each have the right radius.
Can I export hours for payroll?
Yes. Company-wide reports show hours by crew and by day across every active job, and export to CSV.
Is there a simpler version for field workers?
Yes. Simple Mode limits the app to Clock, Tasks, Chat and Files, so field workers only see what they need.
